About Rockin Wheel

Ken Allore was a talented young hockey player with his whole life ahead of him. Ken was checked from behind in a hockey game and his life was changed forever. He went from being an active athlete to being a quadriplegic.   In 2004 Ken dedicated himself to becoming part of the solution and started the RockinWheel festivals.

RockinWheel was created to raise money for 1) Spinal Cord Research 2) Support for those affected by this injury 3) An outreach program to try and educate young people about preventing these injuries.

As President of RockinWheel for Spinal Cord Research and partnering with “Stop Concussions” and “Shoot For A Cure”, Allore has spoken to thousands of young people about the tragic and needless injuries caused by checking from behind.
