DIAMOND DUST formed in 2005, founded by Paul Lapkowski, one of London’s most talented lead/rhythm guitarists. Paul was soon joined by New York City born veteran bassist/vocalist Ira “Nick” Sussman. Completing the power trio is Jeff Adams, one of London’s premier drummer/percussionists. Jeff doubles on lead and background vocals with Nick, adding more dimension and dynamics to both the music and stage presence. The band is a dedicated group of schooled and experienced musicians with many years of individual experience both in the recording studio and on the stage. DIAMOND DUST offer a unique and exciting stage show with lots of audience participation and interaction.
DIAMOND DUST’s repetoire include hits by a diversified group of artists from the classic rock to alternative/punk genres. Diamond Dust cover classic rock bands like Van Halen, ZZ Top, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. DIAMOND DUST also covers alternative/punk bands like the Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Rage Against The Machine. The band has performed for people aged 4 to 85, however, the general demographic DIAMOND DUST appeals to are ages 19-50+.
DIAMOND DUST had the incredible opportunity to be the opening band for Great White and Ted Nugent at 2008’s ROCK THE PARK 5 classic rock festival performing for over 6,000 rock fans.
Some
of the venues DIAMOND DUST have appeared at include Norma Jeans, East Side Bar and Grill, the Dawghouse, Sunnys Bar, Fitzrays Lounge, The Scots Corner, The Blackshire Pub, several private and public events, as well as successful appearances at London Ribfest 2007,2008 & 2009.
