Jason Holmes – Guitarist

My name is Jason Holmes, and I’ve been playing guitar for around 25 years. I took some time off of the music scene for a while, but am excited to be back into it in full force and loving every second of it!

I have been more than a few cover bands in the past, and done some originals as well. Have shared the stage with (opened for) The Bloody Chicklets, Made, and Starkicker to name a few.

Everyone has their reasons for playing music.
For me, There is no feeling on earth, quite like getting lost in a guitar solo and totally forgetting where (or when) you are. I could (and often do) get so wrapped up just playing, that I lose hours without realizing it!

As for my playing style:
I like to noodle a lot, and I like almost everything to be just a little bit heavier!
Influences include Foo Fighters, Beatles, Aerosmith, Big Wreck, Extreme (yes I said Extreme, lol) Rush, Steve Vai, Van Halen, Slash and Wide Mouth Mason to name a few.

I have been back to playing the guitar for a couple of years now and am also singing this time around. I have been fortunate to jam with some pretty amazing, talented musicians in my life, and I am currently busy building a song list with a “new” cover band (still to be named) so that we can start showing our stuff!
