Now+NJ’s+is+now+owned+by+a+gentleman+named+Theo+who+I+have+had+the+distinct+pleasure+to+meet+a+few+times+now,+and+I+truly+like+this+guy.+He+has+a+vision+for+Norma’s+to+return+it+to+the+glory+it+once+had+as+the+bar+has+fallen+on+hard+times+in+recent+years.+Gavin+now+runs+sound+at+the+venue+and+does+an+excellent+job+for+the+bands+that+play+there+using+his+own+company’s+gear+for+sound.
Theo+is+going+to+turn+this+venue+around,+of+that+I+am+sure.+It’s+going+to+take+both+time+and+money+but+you+can+see+a+different+attitude+in+the+venue+and+all+the+staff +are+excited+about+the+future+and+believe+in+him+and+his+vision.

Norma Jeans
Tonight I attended an event that is dear to Barb and my hearts – a Benefit for Animals at Norma Jeans.
Now NJ’s is now owned by a gentleman named Theo who I have had the distinct pleasure to meet a few times now, and I truly like this guy. He has a vision for Norma’s to return it to the glory it once had as the bar has fallen on hard times in recent years. Gavin now runs sound at the venue and does an excellent job for the bands that play there using his own company’s gear for sound.
Theo is going to turn this venue around, of that I am sure. It’s going to take both time and money but you can see a different attitude in the venue and all the staff are excited about the future and believe in him and his vision.
Art 4 Animals Adoption Centre had a fundraiser event at the bar tonight that was co-hosted with the help of Tracy Wilson-Peakman amongst many other volunteers.
The band that played was Runnin with With Scissors who were performing their last show together and they were smoking right out of the gates with a set loaded all with popular rock cover songs. The band was firing on all cylinders for the two sets I saw and it was bitter sweet that they were making their final performance.
As for the event they raised just over $600.00 for their mandate to end pet homelessness and death due to overpopulation, which is better than nothing but I was disappointed for them that they never had more people present to contribute to the fundraiser – yet having said that I applaud them for their noble efforts to help our furry friends.
