Animalert
ABOUT ANIMALERT
Animalert was founded in London, Ontario, Canada in 1977 by four animal lovers who wanted to ensure that pets were adopted by caring guardians. Animalert now has more than 35 active members and a large network of volunteers that have helped them spread the word about their adoption program and raise funds to offset operating expenses. Each year Animalert places approximately 250 cats and dogs into responsible, loving homes. This is an amazing feat for a volunteer group, but Animalert knows that could do even better with your help!
Animalert works independently of the London Humane Society and London Animal Care and Control Centre. All money is raised through adoption fees, private donations and fundraising efforts such as the annual Christmas bazaar. With virtually no administrative overhead, approximately 90 per cent of money raised is used for veterinary care, food and housing.
Animalert focuses on three main areas:
Adoption, Education, and Spaying/Neutering.

Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Centre Inc.
ABOUT SALTHAVEN
Sathaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Centre is currently involved in a capital fund raising project. Their goal is to reach $1,200,000 in order to start construction on the first phase of our new clinic. Salthaven receives over 5000 calls each year, and having outgrown their current facility, must turn away 75% of the animals in need of rehabilitation.
Salthaven needs your help to make the new facility a reality. Please consider donating to Salthaven and supporting our fund raisers. Salthaven extends their thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation and The Gordon and Patricia Gray Foundation for Animal Welfare, for their generosity.
AWARDS
Salthaven was a 2010 finalist for Pillar Nonprofit’s Community Leadership Award. Additionally, Salthaven was nominated for the Top 50 in Canada in CBC’s “Champions of Change” and awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubliee Medal in 2012.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you feel compelled to help, visit the Salthaven website and donate by clicking on the “Paypal” button the left side of your screen. The money collected through these fundraising efforts is used to purchase food for fawns, ducklings, geese, baby birds and many other birds and mammals.
Another way to help is to consider creating a bequest to Salthaven. See our website for details. http://www.salthaven.org/how-to-help/donate/
