Nasty Alex were formed in the summer of 2010 as a result of a challenge. Previous to that summer Dwayne had a weekly gig at The Spoke as part of the acoustic duo Highman & Carbunkle.
The manager of The Spoke approached Dwayne with the idea of putting together a live karaoke band. The first two times it was brought up Dwayne thought he was joking around and laughed it off. The third time Dwayne realized this was an actual request.

After some humming and hawing Dwayne decided to put the plan into action and get something together for the coming 2010/11 school year. First thing was to find the best musicians he could find. Enter Archie on drums and Jason on bass.
Second thing was to spend countless hours researching and compiling a killer list of songs and then find a way to display them so the singers could read them.

First and only Nasty Alex rehearsal… The power trio clicks right away and it is clear they will be able to pull this thing off. Laughably, they think they will be able to rehearse at least a couple bars, or maybe a verse and chorus of each song on that original list of around 270. This proved impossible due to the limited amount of time allotted at the studio. As a result, most songs are performed by Nasty Alex for the first time in front of a live audience.

Fast forward to today... Nasty Alex have become a popular attraction in London and the Southern Ontario region and plan to keep on rocking many years into the future.



UPDATE:2014

Archie Gamble parts ways with Nasty Alex to travel the world playing drums on a cruise ship.. sounds like a dream job! Long time friend of the band and "go to" fill in drummer Rob MacEachern replaces Archie full time and the adventure continues.
